Tiago Rodrigues – Lawyer

Tiago Rodrigues graduated with an LL.B. degree and was called to the Brazilian Bar in 2004 where he practiced as a litigator for eleven years representing clients in medical malpractice, wrongful death, tax litigation and contractual disputes. Tiago appeared before the Court of Appeal and in the Superior Court of Brazil.  

Tiago is fluent in both English and Portuguese. 

After moving to Canada, Tiago completed his master’s degree in law at the University of British Columbia, received his Accreditation Certificate by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada and was called to British Columbia bar in June 2022.

Tiago has represented clients in the Supreme Court and Provincial Court of British Columbia in personal injury litigation, family law, and contractual disputes. 

In addition to trial work, Tiago has also helped clients resolve their family law disputes through negotiated agreements.

Tiago is a former member of Brazil's Olympic Taekwondo team and now enjoys spending time with his family and going on long hikes.  Tsusiat Falls on the West Coast trail is his favourite destination.

In May of 2026, Tiago opened his own law firm TR Law where he continues to provide a full range of legal services in both English and Portuguese.
